After eight weeks of travel, the final days to reach home were fairly easy. After the stop in Minneapolis I made my way to Chicago, staying in the Addison area which put me in close proximity for church the next day. I found an amazing South American restaurant within walking distance of the hotel…and had a fantastic Peruvian chicken-basil soup with a Brazilian mixed grill. The flavors were spectacular! Now I’m wondering about a South American adventure…just for the foods. Sunday, I attended the Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Cathedral in Chicago, and then began my final day of travel toward home. After about eight hours I was “Welcomed to Pennsylvania” with endless orange barrels and construction zones …as if a sign was required.
What began 8 weeks ago, has come to conclusion. Many experiences to reflect on, several lessons learned, lots of fun had, new friends made, many memories to enjoy. And…of course, the “Where’s my Dad?” crew kept track at home…along with a few trip stats.
Until next time…I am nomad parked & planning.
